Did you realize that an amazing workout starts way before you step foot into the gym.
Here are a list of the things I suggest:
Like (or love) your environment – do you like your home gym? Or you like the gym you go to .. this place should make you feel good- if not, then bye
Headphones – sounds silly but do you like these/ do they get you pumped?
Listen to a motivational podcast or give yourself your own pep talk. When I am giving myself a pep talk I really ask myself and remember why I started, what are any results I have seen so far? Maybe they are physical, maybe they are mental. I’ll say this outloud or I will write it down and tell myself I want more of this and if I want more, I need to do more!
Remind yourself how good you feel after – the workout will release the endorphins to achieve this!
Figuring out the best time for your schedule- do you need to wake up earlier? Do you need to pack workout clothes so you can go workout after work?
Plan ahead:
– what time are you going to the gym?
– what workouts will you be doing?
Wear an outfit that you feel comfortable in. What is ONE thing you like about your gym outfit? Throw in a baseball cap!
Think about what the priorities are at the gym. Again, write them down or say them out loud. How will you be proud of yourself and feel accomplished? Is it following your plan? Is it increasing your strength?
Visualize what you want, what your achieving … continue to do so while you workout – this helps MASSIVELY with mind body connection an
Have nutrient dense food consisting of a protein, carbohydrate and fat roughly one hour before you get going!
